Last week Disneyland announced that they would be adding a few new items to the menus at Avengers Campus to celebrate the opening of CAPTAIN AMERICA: BRAVE NEW WORLD. The items arrived at Pym’s Test Kitchen, Pym’s Tasting Lab, and even at the shwarma carts populating the campus. The most prominent is the new Captain America shield sipper which is available at all of these locations. There is also a drink at Pym’s Tasting Lab. But the two most interesting items, to me at least, are the Red Rage Wings and the Red Gamma Gulp.
Hulks in all forms are some of my favorite Marvel characters and I REALLY loved the Red Hulk in Brave New World. Harrison Ford’s performance reeked of the tragic character trappings of fellow Hulk Bruce Banner and effectuated them better and more prominently than Bruce in the MCU! So I really am a sucker for this character. And I was excited to try these wings.

The Red Rage Wings are described as “spicy chicken wings tossed in habanero sauce, served with potato bites and ranch dressing.” The wings are spiced with a habanero dressing – and are VERY hot. This might be the hottest thing I have ever tasted on Disneyland property. But they were cooked well and were tender and juicy. The wings are served with a side of tater tots topped with a cajon seasoning. These were very tasty and were a zesty if not necessarily hot compliment. But that lack of heat was a plus considering how hot the wings are. I washed the food down with a cherry coke (of course I stayed with the red theme) – a large btw – and I drank the whole thing before I hit my last wing. I then went back and refilled it with water and drank that. The point is, these wings are HOT. But very good.

Luckily there were trash cans available so I pretended I was at EPCOT.
The Red Gamma Gulp is described as a “red velvet cold brew with cream cheese cold foam”. It is similar in concept to some of the other popular cold brews seen at the Disneyland Resort including the uber-popular Cold Brew Black Caf at Docking Bay 7 in Galaxy’s Edge which also incorporates a cream cheese cold foam. The red velvet cold brew is actually delicious and the cream cheese cold foam adds a nice layer of sweetness and texture to the mix.

I will say that the Red Gamma Gulp was a GREAT compliment to the wings as the cream cheese cold foam extinguished the heat from the wings once and for all. So these two dishes, in a very strange but beautiful way, pair quite well – kind of like Thunderbolt Ross and Red Hulk! Both items are a big recommend from me – with a caveat that you must really love some heat on your food to enjoy those wings.
