I’m so excited that Marvel Legends is offering the characters from the wildly popular Disney Plus shows. WANDAVISION along with THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER were both 2021 entertainment highlights for me – yes there hasn’t been a whole lot, but the hype and theories surrounding these two tv series properties at least made me feel like we were back in the era of major blockbuster films. And now comes LOKI which may be my most anticipated MCU series yet and maybe my most anticipated MCU property this year.
So when I found out the latest Marvel Legends wave features characters from both Wandavision and TFATWS as well as Loki – my anticipation was high. And when I walked into Target today and saw they had arrived, well lets just say it was a great Thursday. So I picked up two of my favorites at Target today, US Agent John F. Walker and the cosmic mistake himself, Loki (yes I guess I like villains). I saw them in the wild – a full eight weeks before they were due on amazon. So after getting back home, I thought I would share some photos and unboxing with you tonight.
LOKI
This Loki is not the one that (SPOILER) passed at the hands of Thanos at the beginning of INFINITY WAR. Rather this is technically the Loki that escaped out of captivity during the events of THE AVENGERS during the time travel events of AVENGERS ENDGAME. This “variant” as he is termed will be featured in Disney Plus’ upcoming LOKI show which premieres next Wednesday June 9th. Let’s start with the fig inside the box and I freaking love the look of the artwork on the box.
The copy on the back of the package is pretty awesome: “Mere moments after his escape during the events of Avengers: Endgame, Loki is apprehended by the TIME VARIANCE AUTHORITY (TVA) and arrested for his crimes against the ‘sacred timeline’.” This is pretty cool and makes me all the more eager to hear how the events play out, what other criminals are also violating the sacred timeline and why is it so important to preserve the timeline – moreover who is running the TVA and what is their investment in the “sacred timeline”. Also how about that cool Disney Plus logo on the box – so cool that Marvel Legends is doing figs for their TV shows. I LOVE it.
Now let’s take a look at Loki outside of the box. First how cool is this background diorama with featuring the TVA crest?

Now let’s take a look at Loki unboxed:

Love his look, his tie and that wavy Tom Hiddleston hair. An A+ sculpt in my opinion.
Look at that awesome TVA crest on his blazer and the great VARIANT mark on the back – even though this is a cool jacket, I am definitely getting “Prisoner” vibes with that outfit. Well I can’t wait for LOKI next week and so happy to add this figure to my collection.
US AGENT
I loved THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDER – Sam Wilson’s Cap was one of the most inspirational moments of the past year and a half and Bucky is so cool. But I was also a sucker for Wyatt Russell’s US AGENT – maybe more than any of the other characters.

I love the copy which definitely gives us a hint of the DARK overtones to this character that make him so loveable to a lunatic like me: “After being stripped of the Captain America title, John F. Walker’s spirit is shaken and he takes on a new mantle: US AGENT.” I LOVE IT!
Now let’s take a look at John outside of the box (unfortunately no cool diorama here like Loki):

I think the details – starting with A on Walker’s back are A+ and the best thing about this fantastic fig. I also think that under the mask their is a strong likeness to Wyatt Russell’s jawline. But let’s take a look at some of the awesome details of US Agent including: those cool finger gloves, a handgun (WHAT), and also the awesome belt and boots with great painting on both items.

I also want to give a shoutout to the awesome, awesome side box artwork here for both John F. Walker/US Agent and Loki:

Lastly let’s take a look at some of the other Disney Plus Marvel figures out there:

I really want to get that Scarlet Witch fig – will be keeping my eyes open at ALL Targets for that one. And I have heard the White Vision Marvel Legends figure is a really tough find – although I saw some guy walking out with one right before I arrived at the Marvel Legends aisle at Target.
